Task Planned Hours 0.25 - Workfront 14-07-2017
We recently passed our one-year anniversary for Workfront roll-out, and I am now taking a look back at our Project Templates to see if our Task Planned Hours are on point or need adjustment, based on Task average actual hours. Anyway, we are seeing that some of the Tasks that had been given 0.5 (30 minutes) Planned Hours on a Template, really only take 0.25 (15 minutes, or less in some cases). Is there a best practice for a ‘cut-off’ point for planned hours associated to a Task. Is 0...

Re: Reorder Report Prompts - Workfront 29-06-2017
Agree totally. We have prompts on a number of reports, and I can't count how many times I have had 'to start all over again'.

Re: Custom Forms best practices - Workfront 23-06-2017
We use Custom Forms at the Project level. We have one Custom Form that is attached to all of our Project Templates that captures higher level, overarching information needed across all of our Projects, and then we have specific Custom Forms for each Project type. For example, a “Flyer Template” has two Custom Forms - the overarching Custom Form and then the Flyer Custom Form. When a manager adds a Project, they choose the applicable Project Template and then fill in the two Custom Fo...

Hi Greg, not sure if you already know this or not, but just in case, there is a Houston User Group on the Community site. User Groups >> Regional - North America >> Houston.

Re: Archive Programs,Portfolios, Etc. - Workfront 21-06-2017
This is a much needed feature. As it stands now, we have quite a number of Programs that a manager needs to scroll through in order to find the right one to tag a Project to. The old Programs are cluttering up the drop-down list, making it very cumbersome. Having an easy way to hide or deactivate the ‚Äòno longer in use’ Programs would be ideal.

Re: Archiving Programs - Workfront 20-06-2017
Hi Alyson, did you find any best practices, suggestions? I am doing a bit of Admin clean-up, and like you, we have a number of Programs that are no longer 'active/current'. The list is quite long and looking to reduce this. We are thinking of doing an 'Archive Portfolio' and housing them there, but you had mentioned, for you, that it was not a desired solution for your team. Were there limitations or obstacles that you found with going that route?

Re: User: Home Team ID: How do you change it to name. There is not a selection for Home Team Name? - Workfront 07-06-2017
Are you trying to run a report? I am assuming that is what you are asking about but let me know if otherwise. Anyway, in a User Report, there is an option to Filter by Home Team >> Name. And, you can add a Column as well "Home Team: Name" which populates the Column with the Name of the Home Team. Are you trying to run a different type of Report?

Re: Deleted Project and Tasks - Workfront 02-06-2017
If you are a System Administrator, you can go to "Setup", and in the left-hand pane of the page, you will see "Recycle Bin", where you can view "Recently Deleted" items - projects, tasks, etc. It will also indicate "Deleted By", "Deletion Date", etc. The Recycle Bin also allows one to see "Recently Restored" items as well for reference.
