Here is our list of enhancements we would love for the SP - Workfront Scenario Planner 23-12-2020
Now that we are going off Beta into the full version, we have some questions/enhancements that would be really beneficial to our group: Ability to sort alphabetically the Job RolesAbility to pull in additional Columns to the plan, such as project planned/actual start date, to help us with our sorting w/o having to rank the projects elsewhereAbility to view initiatives as Job Roles (so we see job role availability/required per month)-this was mentioned and agreed but others during our last beta c...

Re: Allow 'Project: Budgeted Hours' Field or Equivalent to Pull from New Resourcing Planner into Workfront Project View - Workfront 20-11-2020
100% Ditto this comment! We loved the old Budgeted Hours field from the legacy tools, we used it in many reports, project charters, presentations, etc. Would also love this to appear in the Business Case, so a user can see the total budgeted hours in the Business Case area without having to sum up the list of job roles w/ hours.

Retroactively populate the Date of Status change on projects with Text Mode - Workfront 13-11-2020
I found this great report that details how to create a time stamp for when your project changes status, specifically for my case when a project is set to Cancelled (DED). It works great going forward, but I would like to see the date stamp of past projects when they were set to DED. Since I cannot manually edit a Calculated field, I was thinking that I need three fields: Time Stamp for projects when they go to DED (only works for now and future projects)A standard Date field, which I will manual...

Re: No Subject - Workfront Archived Groups 20-10-2020
Thank you! I am a little confused- when Publishing an imported project in SP-it does not change the associated project? for example, in the video the initiative end date was 11/30, but the project planned end date was 10/8. What does publishing actually do to a project-does it edit the planned hours or timeline, or just allows you to view side by side? Thank you!

Re: Plotting planned hours over time - Workfront 14-09-2020
Workfront does spread out planned hours based on duration and # of users/job roles, I am not sure why the thought train here is it lumps it in the beginning? You can also distribute the % of planned hours among the users assigned. Have you explored the Resource Planner tool? That will show by Project, the Planned Hours in each Week, month or Quarter of the duration of a project. You can see multiple projects at once depending on your filters, export, see by User or Job Role. You will need to set...

I can never figure out how to get the dates to appear on the X axis! Do you mind sending a screen shot of the graph setup? Thanks!

Re: Legacy Resource Planner to new Resource Tools-Need guidance on FTE Allocation - Workfront 13-08-2020
Thanks Doug! This could work on a singular job level, but for this resource pool, it will be over 25 job roles that could be applied to the project, so the team managing the resource pool/portfolio would have to then remember what each peak is for each job role, so the PM peak may be 2 FTE, but the other teams on that project could be 1, .75, .5, etc.

Re: Legacy Resource Planner to new Resource Tools-Need guidance on FTE Allocation - Workfront 13-08-2020
Thanks Anthony! This would work for teams who have whole number FTE availability, but maybe of the teams that I need to work with will be .5's or .75's, for example

Legacy Resource Planner to new Resource Tools-Need guidance on FTE Allocation - Workfront 12-08-2020
We are transitioning to the new resource management suite off of the legacy capacity planner. The huge benefit in the legacy tool was we could set a set a cap on FTE allocation for a Job Role in a resource pool. So, the Project Manager job role is assigned to 10 people in Workfront, but we could set our allocation to only 2 available to a resource pool. We did not need a separate job role.In the new Resource Tools (not ESP), there is not a way to set an FTE cap in a resource pool, the pool bring...
