Re: Does anyone use Plans and Initiatives to manage Agile Products and their backlogs? - Workfront 11-05-2021
Yes it sounds worth pursuing perhaps with a pilot team. That's how we started. To be fair they weren't using any other tool but also they hadn't initially viewed Workfront as being able to provide them with the Agile functionality required. Some had previously used Jira and they commented that they preferred Workfront once they had actually tried it. For us, it keeps all our work management in one place. It helps with timesheets and also reporting for example.

Re: Does anyone use Plans and Initiatives to manage Agile Products and their backlogs? - Workfront 11-05-2021
Hi TerriHere are a couple of scenario that I’d be more than happy to discuss further with you:Scenario 1 - We have plans to which we have allocated a Project Status of Backlog where our Domain Leads add tasks, prioritise them and add their Agile Scrum Team to them when they are ready to include the tasks in an Iteration/Sprint. The tasks are subsequently pulled through to the Agile Team Backlog where they are reviewed, broken down into subtasks where appropriate and added to the appropriate Iter...

Re: Question time!! Let’s talk about work items. How do you use the “Project” object in Workfront - is this your “Epic”? What kind of work do you put in there? Which Agile terms do you use and how do you define them, like Feature, Story, etc.? - Workfront 10-05-2021
Hi Andy! Over the course of the last year, to fit in with a more Agile way of working, we have been looking at reducing the number of stages in our projects and we're currently embedding just 2 stages - Analysis and Delivery. Prior to the creation of a project we will agree the best approach for delivering the work and subsequently provide the most appropriate template for this as well as create either Agile Scrum or Kanban Teams as appropriate.

Re: Question for everyone! What kind of Agile framewor.. - Workfront 06-05-2021
Agreed, we adopted an Agile Scrum Framework for some teams and subsequently introduced them to the Scrum functionality in Workfront. More recently we've been introducing teams to the Kanban functionality but 'embedding' the Frameworks is still a work in progress.

Great questions! We have not yet embedded the term Epics but the Agile Teams are familiar with the term Story. We have Project templates that act as backlogs into which teams enter tasks that could form Stories in Iterations. We also have project templates that are designed in a more traditional style with stage gates although the tasks in the delivery stage may be executed using the Agile Scrum or Kanban functionality.

Re: Give PMs ability to prevent users from Logging Time to Completed Tasks - Workfront 16-04-2021
Agreed. It shouldn't be possible to log time against completed tasks.

'Revenue Type' Warning - Workfront 15-03-2021
I am seeking votes for the following that has become an issue for us. Where a task has existing hours added to a billed billing record, it would be useful to see a warning appear if the Revenue Type field is later changed from User Hourly to Not Billable. Our current workaround is to run a report to capture these instances. Conversations are then had with the Project Owners to understand the intention and review consequences. Idea: Revenue Type Warning (workfront.com)

Re: How do people handle high-volume, quick turnaround projects with lots of back and forth? - Workfront 08-03-2021
We had a similar scenario so introduced the Agile Scrum and Kanban functionality to those teams.

HI all, does anyone know whether it is now possible to easily report on the date a timesheet was submitted?
