Re: Document report that shows portfolio or specific file types? - Workfront 29-04-2016
Hi Skye, I believe that Document Portfolio ID is the same thing, but to be safe, you can use Project Portfolio ID. It is in the dropdown in the filters tab or you can use project:portfolioID=[Insert Portfolio's ID here] project:portfolioID_Mod=notin As for your second one, you can do a Document Type filter (called docObjCode) if you are in text mode. The issue with this is it is a free text field. So I would recommend running a report with that field as a column and copying the exact name that a...

Re: Tasks that are no longer needed. - Workfront 29-04-2016
We have Not Needed/Cancel. One thing to consider... through the teams (in team settings), you will want to set it up so that that new status is part of the "Done" button. The reason for this... if someone changes the status to Not Needed and it is not part of the Done button, it stays on the Working On list in My Work. By adding it to the Done button, they can put the status to Not Needed and then it will be removed from My Work.

Re: Submitting a ticket for yourself doesn't give you the access level when you assign it to yourself - Workfront 27-04-2016
Okay, I actually don't have any where the different people who get auto-assigned are also the entry person. However... I did find some where the entry person was added manually as an assignee and you are correct, they do not have the access like someone else who is assigned. That seems like a bug a to me. I'll submit a ticket to our support person and see what she says. I can't imagined it was designed that way, but we shall see.

I believe so... well, at least no one has complained about it to me yet. (and with one of them being change status, I'd think I would hear something). Do you know if the differences show up in the Sharing option? If so, I could go to an Issue and see the permissions of someone who entered as well as is assigned to a issue?

Re: SSO enabled, but not present - Workfront 27-04-2016
Hey, just to make sure, are don't have /login at the end of your URL do you? If so you need to remove that as it is a bypass for your SSO. Example: Our URL is fcb.attask-ondemand.com. If we use that, we get to our SSO. If we use fcb.attask-ondemand.com/login it bypasses SSO and goes to the Workfront login screen. Not sure if that is the issue, but it has through some of our users.

Re: Submitting a ticket for yourself doesn't give you the access level when you assign it to yourself - Workfront 27-04-2016
Just to make sure I understand this... you have access levels that are assigned to your users called Submit and Assigned To? I was under the impressions that a user only gets one access level. So you can't get them more permissions than the access level allows. (For instance, if you say they cannot see portfolios, you can't share a portfolio with them). We use the access area of the project (accessed by going to Edit Project). We have it setup that when someone is assigned an issue they get cont...

Re: Reporting:Grouping: Any way to rename "No Value"? - Workfront 27-04-2016
Thank you, Becka! So I got it to work on a project report (we don't put time in Workfront so I don't have hours in an hour report). group.0.displayname=Owner group.0.linkedname=owner group.0.namekey=view.relatedcolumn group.0.namekeyargkey.0=owner group.0.namekeyargkey.1=name group.0.valueexpression=IF(ISBLANK({owner}.{name}),"Non-Specified",{owner}.{name}) group.0.valueformat=string textmode=true Again though, remember that if you have a custom grouping, you can't do charts, matrix grouping, or...

Re: Turning off Notifications at Weekends - Workfront 27-04-2016
I would double check that you do not have "Elapsed" days/weeks/etc for your overdue notifications. It was my understanding that if you select 1 day after it was due, that would not be over the weekend or office closures but if you select 1 elasped day, that would include those. We don't have overdue notifications, so I'm not 100% sure if that is the issue.

Re: Submitting a ticket for yourself doesn't give you the access level when you assign it to yourself - Workfront 27-04-2016
We have a few queues where someone submits something that ends up assigned to themself and haven't seen an issue. Do they manually assign it to themselves or is their a routing rule that assigns it? For us, there is a routing rule so that might be what makes the difference.

Re: Introduce Yourself! - Workfront 27-04-2016
Hi Everyone, My name is Anthony Imgrund and I am a project manager with the Strategic Ops team at FCB. I act as the system administrator for our global instance of Workfront. Our company uses Workfront to centralize project schedules and report on tasks that are due soon. That is the first level. We are starting to work with some business units on using the tool for planning resources and to better estimate their projects. The third part will be to do some forward planning in the tool and use it...
