Re: Help! Please upvote this idea for Innovation Lab: Assign Multiple Teams on a Task - Workfront 13-01-2021
Hi Narothnee, That is a good question. You did great posting it here. I've actually also reached out to a couple of the customers I support, so you'll see it's gone up a couple votes already, and likely will continue to get a few more votes.

Re: Help! Please upvote this idea for Innovation Lab: Assign Multiple Teams on a Task - Workfront 13-01-2021
Hi Jennifer, Each vote is worth 10 points, so 800 would be 80 people, 910 would be 91 people. However, I did just speak to Vazgen (the PM that put the response up) and he mentioned that it's not currently on our roadmap for 2021. Thanks!

Re: Report to show a users actual hours vs. planned hours for tasks their assigned to - Workfront 13-10-2020
Hi Kendra, Sorry I missed your previous reply! The short answer is kind of, you just have to figure it out. The long answer involves text mode and filters. Here are a few help articles we'll get started with:Understanding text modeAPI Explorer Now, before we get to grouping, we need to establish your report's period of time.If you're only looking for tasks, you can filter off task planned start or completion date. Next you'll need to add a grouping, but there isn't a grouping for task Planned Hou...

Re: Is there a way not to allow time to be logged to tasks that are marked as complete. thanks Shawn - Workfront 20-08-2020
Erica nailed it. It can only be done at the project level.Once a project is complete, you can modify the life after death settings in Setup -> Timesheets & Hours -> Preferences -> Log time on projects that are complete.

Re: I am just trying to clarify that if we want to enable users to email an issue into a Request Queue project, using a POP account, those users that send emails to that POP account, they must also be registered users within the Workfront application. - Workfront 10-08-2020
Hey Shawn, Every one of those people would have to have an account.Requestors/reviewers do not count as paid licenses. However, you could set up SSO with auto-provisioning and any new users that come in will be set up as requestors. Here is our help article on configuring Workfront with SAML 2.0.There is a section in there that goes over auto-provisioning users in-depth:https://one.workfront.com/s/document-item?bundleId=workfront-classic&topicId=Content%2FAdministration_and_Setup%2FAdd_users%2FSin...

Close! We're removing POP from setup, with the goal to remove all POP from WF down the line.No ETA as to when it'll be removed from Queue Setup, but in talking with our product teams, we'll have a replacement option that should work better. To answer Shawn's question, the user has to have edit rights to create an issue in Workfront, so at minimum a Requestor license. Thanks!

Re: Trying to report on a Custom Field, but the reporting function will not allow me to group by the custom field selection. Can someone please assist me? - Workfront 06-08-2020
The calculation looks like it should be right to me.I'd bulk update a few of the objects that have that custom form on it, select "Recalculate Custom Expressions" and that should populate the data you're looking for.

Re: Tasks assigned to multiple people to show up on both of their task reports - Workfront 04-08-2020
Jamie, We use a status called "doneStatuses" to be able to do that internally.. I'm not an API expert, more a support expert.. our consulting team would be better able to help with a question like this. That said, here's a link to show the metadata available for an object (task in this case):https://domain.my.workfront.com/attask/api/v11.0/task/metadataReplace "domain" with your domain. And if you want to see metadata on other objects, replace "task" with the object you want, such as "PROJ" for pr...

Re: Trying to report on a Custom Field, but the reporting function will not allow me to group by the custom field selection. Can someone please assist me? - Workfront 04-08-2020
Hi Shayla, Here's our help article that goes over the process:Link Short story:Say you have a checkbox field called Toppings. Your goal is to find out who wants what toppings on their ice cream.Because you can have more than one choice selected, you can't group by it, as that's a many to one relationship (many choices to 1 field, or 1:n in database terms.)So you create a calculated field, and call it Toppings Aggregated. The calculation for the calculated field will be the name of the field you w...

Re: Trying to report on a Custom Field, but the reporting function will not allow me to group by the custom field selection. Can someone please assist me? - Workfront 03-08-2020
Hi Shayla! In order to group by a field, that field has to be a 1:1 value in the database, which means you'll need to create a calculated field that references your other custom field, then you can group by the calculated field. I hope this helps! Thanks,
