Disabling Client (Requestor) Notifications - Workfront 25-04-2019
We are going live next week with Clients (requestor license and group) and in our testing this week we realized that they are receiving all notifications associated with the converted project. I realize I could set the project access to "no access" and that would stop the notifications, but we are giving them limited project access to keep the statuses consistence between issue and project. Is there a way through auto-provisioning or otherwise to disable all notifications from WF (proofing aside...

Re: Text Mode Question - Workfront 24-04-2019
Hey Skye - appreciated the info! I think I confused things by using the term "Header". If I add another column and use sharecol it only changes the name of the column. What I am referring to is the description text that displays before the Issue title. column.3.sharecol=true column.3.textmode=true column.3.value= Project Name: (There is a trick on this line to have text display before the first value and the break.) column.3.valueformat=HTML column.3.width=1 Please find the attached screen shot ...

Text Mode Question - Workfront 23-04-2019
Hey guys... I've got two questions here. 1. Why am I seeing question marks at the beginning and end of my descriptionkey? It is on a shared column. Could that have an effect on the descriptionkey? The code is as follows, but really it's just that first line that is the problem: column.2.descriptionkey=This column displays the name of the Request/Issue and the name of the Project. column.2.isInlineEditable=false column.2.link.linkproperty.0.name=ID column.2.link.linkproperty.0.valuefield=ID colum...

Re: New Support system issues - Workfront 18-04-2019
Have you found a way to view all of your companies cases? I seem to be only seeing the cases I have submitted. Brandon Pritchard System Administrator iNHouse Marketing - Nationwide pritcb1@nationwide.com

Re: User Group Update - Workfront 16-04-2019
Hey guys! A few of the chairs and I for the Ohio user group are meeting on May 15th to plan the next steps for the group. We will be discussing possible topics, locations and speakers for the next event. If anyone has any ideas they would like to share, please feel free to share them here and I will make sure we add them to our agenda for the meeting. Re: Parent/Child Projects - Workfront 10-04-2019
We have our rep looking into this one as well as a couple of others that have pushed passed the 40 votes needed for consideration. He is reaching out to the product manager who is assigned to this enhancement and awaiting an update. I will try to post on this thread if I get any newsworthy info.

Re: People assigned to a project - Workfront 04-04-2019
I don't want to plug holes in this if it is working for you, but this does not work in the scenario where a user is assigned to multiple tasks on a single project. We actually had WF look into this and they could not provide a report that would show a number count of how many projects a specific user is on. The user can leverage the native "projects I'm on" view, but a manager would have to run an assignment report then export to excel to filter out the duplicate projects. That is the only way w...

Re: Use SSO auto-provision to update user custom form? - Workfront 04-04-2019
I concur with Vic. We run into the same sort of issue with our clients using auto-provisioning. Our solution, since we have not set up our API's yet, is to simply run a new user report daily and manually add those attributes. It's not the greatest solution, but it does accomplish the goal. We use a User report type with the filter set to User: Entry Date - greater than equal $$TODAY. I hope that helps for now... Re: Documents moving from request to converted project - Workfront 14-03-2019
Oh... this is fun. We have not opened up our instance to our clients yet (we take the work in via email and request the work ourselves) so we have not ran into this. However, I did some testing and sure enough, if an issue is converted to a project and the client adds docs or comments to the issue after that conversion, that data can only be seen by going back to the resolved issue. Our PM's would never do this w/o some sort of prompting from the system and even then could still be missed freque...

Re: Locked Proofs - Workfront 13-03-2019
I agree with Jill. We do the same here. The proof remains open for comments and feedback until our PMs or AMs decide we have all of the necessary insight to move forward with the edits. At that point we lock the proof and make the changes that were agreed upon. Once the edits are complete we load the next version and continue this process until we have a final version ready for distribution.
