@jsvasu No, you don't need Custom Code. 1. Create a Data Element of "Cookie" type. Provide the name of your cookie.2. In your Rule's Condition, use "Value Comparison". Pick the data element in the first field. Then in the dropdown list, choose "Is truthy". Save your Condition. "Is truthy" is a convenient way to check if a data element is set with a value. ("Is falsy" is the reverse, i.e. check if a data element does not have a value.)

@jsvasu I guess you have 2 options: if there's some string in the cookie's value that's always constant, then you can check if the cookie value contains that string. Otherwise, you can check if the cookie is set or not, based on its name (assuming that it could only have been set after the user had granted consent).

You can have 2 Rules:Rule with:Click event on the cookie banner's "Accept" buttonRule with:Library Loaded eventCondition that checks for the presence of the cookieWhen new users click on the Accept banner, they would cause the 1st Rule to trigger. I assume the cookie banner then sets the cookie.Subsequently, these users who had already granted consent would have the cookie in their browser, so every page they visit would cause the 2nd Rule to trigger.

Do you mean that you want to a) track those timeout errors to AA, or b) find the pages where AA is causing the timeout?

The 2 main reasons are:Size of the JS file, which depends on all of the assets (rules, data elements and extensions) that you have built and published into a library in your Launch property.Network latency, which is out of your scope because that depends on a whole host of external factors, e.g. ISPs, DNSes, routers, etc.Obviously, the one to tackle is the JS file's size. I suggest reviewing your Launch property in this order:Disable any Rules, Data Elements and Extensions that are not needed. D...

I admit that I haven't used this plugin in a long time, but my understanding all along is that it records the page load time of the previous page. So when you set your prop/eVar with the page load time, you also need to set a corresponding prop/eVar with the previous page's name, so that you can pair both of them together to get the correct report. Also, after reading the plugin's code, I believe this is is how it works:When the page loads:If the 2 cookies are found, then set s._pltPreviousPage a...

Looks like you want to send a GA Event after 30 seconds. I suggest doing it with the DOM Ready rule, because I assume you want to start counting that 30 seconds after the browser has finished loading the page's structure, which normally includes enough content for the user to start consuming.

Extension Developers: tip for unit testing with turbine

This tip is for extension developers (most likely applicable for web extensions only, since I haven't tried this with mobile extensions).TL;DR create a "global.turbine" variable to mock the turbine free variable, before running your unit tests.I use jasmine (https://jasmine.github.io/index.html) for testing my extension. One difficulty that I had was figuring out how to test the "turbine" free variable (https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/launch/using/extension-dev/turbine.html).After numero...

@bellis0 Great! BTW if you want to use the Adobe Debugger's logger but without causing a page reload: Go to any page in the domain, then open your browser's console and enter "_satellite.setDebug(true)". Now the Debugger is in logging mode, and from that point on, you'll start to see logs without needing a reload. This also means that on the current page, e.g. if you're tracking any link clicks, those will show up in the log too, even though you hadn't enabled the logger when loading the page it...

@bellis0 after some troubleshooting, I've determined that the "appendChild" error is coming from the "PL : Top : BUS : All Pages (LATAM Only)" rule. The error arises because this rule fires at Library Loaded, which is when the Launch JS script is loaded, which itself is loaded inside ... when has not been loaded yet! So the browser can't find document.body (i.e. the section), and it throws that error. Try running the "MRP Prelytix" custom code in a rule that uses "DOM Ready" or "Window Loaded"...

@robertw54618073 take note that in @evolytics_brian's solution, "this.closest()" is unsupported in IE. So if you need to support that browser, you'll need to also provide a polyfill in your Custom Code: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Element/closest#polyfill

I'm not sure how you're storing your AA data to be able to query it like that. But from AA's Reporting API, there should be an item "metrics/entries" that will return the number of entries for the specified dimension(s) in the report request.

Yes, that screenshot show the correct configuration now. Based on this latest screenshot, I think it's safe to eliminate Exit and Download Links as possible cases that are also tracking eVar73 (though it looks like there are a few instances, but those could be edge cases that are difficult to eliminate). So the only thing I can think of for now is that eVar73 is being set with other Custom Links or even Pages. In that case, you can try this:In the latest table shown at https://www.screenpresso.co...

Erm, use "Newsletter Position Instances" instead of "Newsletter Subscription Instances".What I'm trying to do is to see which metrics, when added together, result in your Newsletter Position Instances, i.e. the number of times that Newsletter Position got set. That will give a clue as to where else your eVar is being set.

Copy the entire string in the "Library URI" input field, from "//assets.adobedtm.com" all the way to ".js".Then add that string to the HTML of all pages in the appropriate development environment. E.g. if you've copied the string for the Staging environment, then add it to all of your website's staging pages. You don't need to go through Adobe I/O for this.
