I assume that you're not using Adobe Media Analytics. Are you sending
Custom Link beacons when a preroll starts, and another Custom Link
beacon when the actual video starts? If so, could you take the
difference between those 2 Custom Link instances?
If you notice in the ECID extension, you can use a data element as the
value for the "cookieLifetime" parameter. So you can provide your own
data element that returns "none" when your required conditions are met,
or some other value in other cases.

Firstly, referring to your screenshots, you can actually use one
freeform table with the 2 metrics "Page Views" and "Custom Pageview
Event Name" side-by-side. Then you don't need to have 2 tables, let
alone have different dimension/metric configurations per table (which
