Yea I would start with the timing. If you have Launch using the AEP debugger tool and enabling logging, you can see when the events are fired. Additionally I would print out the ttMeta Object prior to sending the beacon data in a lower environment just to see if its always present or not. If not then I would create an event from Target to notify the beacon call when the data is present and add a timeout just in case.

@markusb54298925 I was able to investigate this better after I got the URL. What I observed is that when I go to a product page I get the entity values along with other parameters. Then when I go back or to another page without the same parameters, that the adobe target still has these persisting parameter values. So if that is the issue I have a solid understanding now of what is going on. I then thought through some possible options. I tested these both by using developer tools to intercept th...

@_Lukasz_ The idea is that you would just pass to the front end the activity name, experience name, and any additional data needed. Then in the beacon call to Adobe Analytics, you would pass the information in as well as evars. This means you need to have evars available in Adobe Analytics and also can pick up the data via Launch. Since you want to do this server side, a possible option would be to add into the initial page mark up server side the experience name/activity name meta data as an ob...

@patrickb8312284 Is this response from Target or inside the experience Target is trying to deliver on the front-end? Can you share the payload that Target responds with? Please remove any private data. Right now I am thinking that you have inline JS that might be having a race issue one when this atComponentInsert function is needed.

@markusb54298925 Makes sense why you would be concerned making the switch. I decided to take a look at using the OOB option and I am getting the same end results as using targetPageParams. I inspected the Launch module for setting the page params and verified that it is working as intended as well. Below is a screenshot of my AEP debugger where I have three mboxes fired and in each the "c" value is changed in each call. I am wondering, are you able to confirm that you are using "Add Params to Pa...

@markusb54298925 What are you doing to try to clear the values or change them? While I get there is nothing out of the box, you can just reset targetPageParams by overwriting it, this object always gets picked up when you call Target global mbox or custom mbox. Here is how I have set it up real quickly to show what I mean. 1. In Launch, I have a rule that is fired off a custom event, I am calling it "targetReset". 2. For the same Launch rule, I have two items for thee Action section. 3. Lets loo...

@markusb54298925 If the issue is that as the user navigates between routes/views on the SPA, then I would recommend that you implement a custom js event that is fired as the user switches routes/views. In Launch you would listen for this custom event, then reseting the parameters, then firing Target. Right now I am assuming your issue is because targetPageParams is not being reset by a normal page load when switching view/routes in the SPA.

Ahhh, sounds like we found possible issue. I would recommend getting the Adobe Experience Platform debugger, its a great chrome extension built by Adobe. Under the Adobe Target tab you can see if all the expected mboxes are being fired.

I will lead with "do both activities have unique names"? If they do, are you able to view the response on the browser from Target? I am interested to see what is being returned from the server for the analytics object. Screen shot below. Is it set to "server-side" and also does the supplemental IDs match to the SDID passed in the adobe analytics beacon call? Screenshot below. @iamjasona might be a silly question, but how did you set up the activity you are calling via the getOffer/applyOffer function? Did you set it up as a form based? If so did you set the reporting to use Adobe Analytics? The fact that you are stating you see activity data in Target tells me you might of set it up to use the Adobe Target reporting versus Adobe Analytics. Let me know, if possible share screenshot of the activity reporting configuration.

Correct you should have an evar set to capture log in state. As for profile merge rule that is a great point, you need to pass in the ID in an ID sync and need to set the authentication level at that point. My question now would be at what point do we know the users id to pass into the ID sync? Because we need this to pull the CRM data up from AAM but typically you have this ID when the user logs in.

@BHAM I would consider having a trait that uses a signal that every CRM user in AAM has and look for it to exists, or simply create a new flag for every user, maybe CRMUSER=true. That will tell us they are part of the onboarded data. Then if I have an integration with Adobe Analytics I would use the log in event as an exclusion rule. Then create a segment of those two traits.

Not sure I follow, with profile scripts, the logic is executed server side prior to any qualification for an experience. So if you can send the value in with the global mbox, Target will first go through profile scripts, set a value for each profile script to the attribute, then see what activities you might qualify for. If one of those activities has an experience where the audience matches your attribute and value resolved by the profile script, then you will get that as part of the response f...

@tszat have you looked into profile scripts? You can use regex to get your value and then use that value in a rules based audience. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/target/using/audiences/visitor-profiles/profile-parameters.html?lang=en#best

@htk theres definitely something wrong in the reporting. I would say that the segments are not an exact match and that is the core of the issue. We need to evaluate if we are truly firing the global mbox and getting the expect experience on all the pages that are in scope for the segment in Adobe Analytics that we are comparing to. Can you share more detail about how the experience is configured in Target? Is it a form based activity or a VEC activity? Also how do you handle the delivery in the ...

@technickly as @yza085 shared, you should use response tokens, in this case the activity name/id and the experience name/id for what is displayed. You will need to set up a rule in Launch that listen for the Adobe Target success event to grab the response tokens and place somewhere you can pick it up to send to Adobe Analytics as an evar. If you are going to have multiple experiences on the page you can use a list var which will be automatically slice it in Adobe Analytics, or you can set it int...

@_Lukasz_ I too had similar issue with ECID not being generated from the server side visitor id service. I opened a defect about this back in 2019 😞 and looks like still not resolved.https://github.com/adobe/target-nodejs-sdk-samples/issues/7 As for your approach, this should work fine, my only question is why use the data insertion api when you can just take the same information and deliver it to the front end and send it along with the data you send on the client side? If you look at the repo...

@epoirier In my experience typically the hits from the A4T data will be higher because it is also S2S with no additional noise coming in or being lost because a user closes the browser, third party script blockers and etc... A delta below 5% is common in digital analytics and is what I have seen in numerous A4T integrations when we compare it. We use to spend alot of time analyzing this data when the feature was being constantly worked on but no longer spend too much time on it when implementing...

Thanks for clarifying NitinJain. If you are using Adobe Launch or a Tag Manager, I would listen for one of those two events, from submitted or scrolled the page X amount. Then I would fire an adobe target global mbox call or a getOffer/applyOffer with a flag, maybe "eligibleForXF = true". The prerequisite would be that you created an activity with an experience where if the user has the "eligibleForXF = true", that experience should have the experience fragment you want to displayed. Hopefully t...

@thomasb89951253 When creating the activity, you have the ability to give the location a name. Screenshot below. If already created, go back into the activity and right click in the area edited, then select "rename location" Screenshot below. When you look at the report now in Adobe Target, you will see the names. Screenshot below. Hope this helps!
