Re: myArray is not behaving as GLOBAL scope? - Adobe LiveCycle 06-08-2011
Hi Srinivas, Did you try declaring a global variable using File -> form properties -> Variables (Tab).I know that the scope of these variables is global. But i'm not sure it can be used as an array or not.----kc

Re: Problem firing User-runtime scripts when importing xml - Adobe LiveCycle 04-08-2011
Hi, I assume you selected "Automatically" for preserve script changes option in File -> FormProperties -> Defaults(Tab) -> Preserve script Changes to form when saved. If this is not the actual cause for your problem, try to write code in the form or the object initialize event. In form:initialize check the dataxml values and show or hide the fields accordingly.for example,if($record.address.name.value = "XYZ") { or xfa.datasets.data.address.name.value }form.subform1.textfield1.presence = "visible"...

Re: Help coding text for a textbox selection - Adobe LiveCycle 04-08-2011
May be I'm not much clear on your requirement, what I understand is you have to disable your submit buttons and you want to write that code on that button itself. In the submit button layout ready event,if (dropdown1.rawValue == "Yes" )this.access = "readOnly" or (this.access = "nonInteractive"elsethis.access = "open";As layout ready event executes for every object on the form for each interactive event on the form, your submit button should become readonly automatically.

Re: How to get a "blank" answer when using "if" statements in a table - Adobe LiveCycle 03-08-2011
Did you check the patterns entered for your numeric field in the object pallette? That might be cause for the zero. I tried on my local system and if I assign null, it's showing blank value.kc

Re: separate string upto comma(,) - Adobe LiveCycle 03-08-2011
Hi Prasad, if your D.9.1 always comes after second "/",then this stmt might help youvar fromIndex = dataroot.Transmittal_pdf.txt_ref.rawValue.indexOf("/"); //returns the first index value after your number 456 i.e., 4.var rec_list2 = dataroot.Transmittal_pdf.txt_ref.rawValue.slice(fromIndex + 1,dataroot.Transmittal_pdf.txt_ref.rawValue.indexOf("/")); this gives the string between the first "/" and the second one i.e.,D.9.1.Hope this works good for you.kc

Re: delete certain instances from data xml - Adobe LiveCycle 03-08-2011
Hello Bibhu, sorry for the delayed response. Yes, I'm using the same xml for import & export. The fields are binded to the subform fields. Subform is a repeating instanceso, I dont think deleting certain instances will impact the binding as I want to keep atleast one instance and remove only the blank ones. Can someone look into my code and help me on this?Would be a great help.k.c

Re: How to get a "blank" answer when using "if" statements in a table - Adobe LiveCycle 02-08-2011
Supposing backordered is a numeric field, you can write backordered.rawValue = null in your else condition; If backordered is a variable, then just write backordered = null. It will display the blank automatically.kc

Re: delete certain instances from data xml - Adobe LiveCycle 28-07-2011
Hi, I just tried with this code.list = xfa.resolveNodes('$record.BudgetAllocationSection.BudgetAllocationUnit.[txtUnitName == null]'); for (var i = 0; i < list.length; i++) { xfa.resolveNodes('$record.BudgetAllocationSection.BudgetAllocationUnit.[txtUnitName == null]').remove(list.item(i)); }It's not resulting any errors. If i put the list in a string and check, I see its deleting the nodes in the string variable. But some how it's not reflecting in the dataxml when I click on submit. Is there an...
