Bibhu, I'm not using any XSLT.In the pre-submit event, I can able to find the nodes that have null data.//retrieve the list of instances with null values for txtUnitNamevar list = xfa.resolveNodes('$record.BudgetAllocationSection.BudgetAllocationUnit.[txtUnitName == null]') ;and app.alert(list.length) gives me the count of nodes.But not getting the proper syntax to delete all these nodes.If we can able to delete a node, I think there should be a way to delete only certain instances of that repea...

Hello Srinivas, this can be possible with little bit of javascript and some efforts to name the textfields in certain way.For all the US related textfields, name them ending with _US, for other countries with _RUSSIA etc. Ex: Txtfld1_US, Txtfld2_US.Below is the sample code which you can use it as a base to write your code. It was not well executed code which may run into errors.Use the below script in the events where you need. Write the function in script object and call it through your events....

I think click event of your dropdown is causing some problem. Also, it may be conflicting with your actual functioanlity.Try to write your code in the change event of your dropdown. That should work smoothly.Regards,Chaitanya

Decide on how many digits you want for your NumericField.If you decide on 4, then in the display pattern for each field, make it num{9999}.This will automatically add preceding zeros to other fields after your calculate event.for ex, if 1 is entered in first field,fields will be displayed as 0001, 0002, .....0013,0014,....Hope this helps.Regards,Chaitanya

May be the syntax is wrong. Instead of xfa.data.record...can you try on this similar lines:xfa.datasets.data.purchaseOrder.general.poNum.valuemy xml data structure is something similar to this: - - 8745236985 2004-02-08 - Any Company Name 555, Any Blvd. Any City ST 12345 Any Country (123) 456-7890 (123) 456-7899 Contact Name Try to parse your data structure in the similar way. Hope this helps. Chaitanya

Hi, we can email the data xml file through the form without reader extending it. Thats fine. Instead of emailing it, I just want to save the data xml file to my local system. What is the syntax to get it? To email it, I generally create a submit button and in the submittoURL field, we write mailto:abc@xyz.com. What to write to save it to local computer instead of emailing it? I tried saveto: C:\NewFolder or fileto:C:\NewFolder. Nothing works. I think I'm missing the right syntax here. I know its...

No need to drag it down. On the left hand side, in the Hierarchy, try to arrange the checkbox items in the order you want.The one that is in the top will be displayed first. This will be effective and will not disturb other objects when we want to rearrange objects.Regards,Krishna

Hello Harry, Try the below syntax and replace your code.this is in formcalc. var List = ref(xfa.record.Invoice.InvoiceSummary.ListOfTaxSummary.TaxSummary) for i=0 upto List.nodes.length - 1 step 1 do $.rawValue = List.nodes.item(i).Tax.TaxAmount.value endforOr the syntax for foreach you can use is:var total = 0.0foreach expense in ( travel_exp[*], living_exp[*],parking_exp[*] ) dototal = total + expenseendforHope this helps.Regards,Chaitanya

It is possible. You should be having a field in your XSD schema for the username. Bind the username to a hidden field in your form.In the designer, in form initialize event,write the code: if hiddenfield.rawValue == "person A" subform1.presence = "hidden"; if hiddenfield.rawValue == "person B" { subform2.presence = "hidden"; subform1.presence = "visible" }In your process, when your moving from one step to other step, update the uname accordingly and the form will respond according to the usernam...

Hi, PDF interactive documents were not intended to be the alternative of web based applications. There will be legality involved when you intend to convert paper based to electronic version. And, what ever the user typed in a pdf, digitally signed should be a legal proof even after 100 years like how a normal hard copy will be a legal proof. This cannot be achieved with normal web based screens, as the softwares change, Operating systems change, from time to time and it may get tough to find whe...

Hello mathew, If you keep any interactive fields in the Master page like text field or check box, as Malcolm said you will loose the values in it.This happens only when you try to hide some pages. because the form will be remerged again and it can bring back the values entered in the fields present only in the body page. It will not hold any values entered for the master page. That is why your check box is behaving wierd. To get more clarity on this, keep a text field in the master page, and on ...

Hi Mohammed,You code will not work in the PostSubmit or postSave events as postSubmit event scripts are executed after the complete submit was happened.It's some what similar to postSave event where you want to confirm the user that submit or save events executed successfully. If you try to put any message box in the postSubmit event, you can see the behaviour of the event.I made a sample form why post submit dont works. I kept the message box and assigned a value to text field in the post submi...

hi,Bibhu's code will work for you. If you also want to avoid the user to print it using other options like through menu -> print, then use this code in the form:pre-print event:if (Total.rawValue < 1000) { app.alert("Please try again"); xfa.event.cancelAction = true; }else { xfa.host.print(1, "0", (xfa.host.numPages -1).toString(), 0, 0, 0, 0, 0); }Regards,Chaitanya

Hi, We tried to assemble 20 documents of each document size 21.63 MB (740 pages per each document) using Assembler process. The process errors out with java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 12035, Size: 12034. If I tried to assemble 15 documents, it worked. I guess this might be caused by total no. of pages count for the mashed up document. Really worried if the Adobe has the capability to handle this or not. We are running LiveCycle ES 8.2 on 32 bit OS Windows Server 2003, 4GB RAM & 3.00 ...
