I cannot get my subforms, tables, or anything else to continue onto page 2, although I used to be able to do this without issue. For some reason, the pagination options for whatever object (such as a subform or table) do not appear. I have such things as "allow breaks within content" selected everywhere, and "overflow" set to "page 2," with is Master page 2, but the object will not render after the first page. I have also tried to wrapping the object in a subform and setting it to "flowed" but t...

Here's how Paul fixed the issue: addxfa.layout.relayout(); to the tail end of the script that controls the appearance of the hidden subforms on page 2.

I think I resolved the problem by setting the subforms on page 2 to "invisible" rather than "hidden". However. I really want to know why they were not working when set to "hidden" Anyone?

I have a two page form. The first page is set to flow, and the second page is positioned. Both pages have hidden subforms that are revealed upon checkbox selections. When the hidden subforms on page one are revealed first, the hidden subforms on page two do not reveal as they are supposed to. However, if the hidden subforms on page two are revealed first, then they work fine, and the ones on page one will be revealed also, no problems. I have had this happen before. Why does this happen and what...

I can get my table header to repeat on page 2, but if the table grows to page 3, the header row does not appear as I would like it to. I am stumped as to why my "add" button will not work to add another row to the table. I am certain the script is correct. Can I send the form to someone to take a look at and possibly tell me where I am going wrong? Thanks so much,Jenny

How do I delete it? I highlighted it, right clicked and 'cut' but it didn't go away. I can't seem to get rid of it by backspacing through it or anything either.

At one time, I thought I wanted to have a message box pop up when the form opened, but now I see how that feature can quickly become very annoying so I would like to remove it. Unfortunately, I can't find it. Wow. That sounds really stupid. Anyway, I hope some kind person can tell me how to locate this scrip in the scrip viewer so I can delete it.Form is attached. Thanks!

Hello,I can use the display pattern dialogue box to format the time correctly, but need to have my users be able to specify AM or PM. How do I do that? Right now, if I try to enter a time followed by an AM or PM, the time will not display properly. For instance, typing 830 AM will remain just like that, not 8:30 AM, which is what I want it to do. Without adding the AM, 830 will display as 8:30. I set the display pattern to H:MM.Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your rant. I feel exactly the same way, like 50% of the time when creating forms. I usually enliven my rants with curse words and flying objects, so I can't reproduce them in this forum and I am happy you finally vented for me.

I just noticed that the problem seems to have something to do with the LATTAKS checkbox on page 2 and its associated LATNote subform, which I added recently. It seems as though either the LATTAKS checkbox will work, or the other checkboxes on page 3 will work, but if the checkbox on page 2 is "on" then the checkboxes on page 3 will not present their subforms when "on," and vice-versa.Looking at the XML source, the code for the checkbox on page 2 (LATTAKS) and associated subform (LATNote) are way...

On page 3 of this form are a series of checkboxes and their associated subforms. When the checkbox is "on" the subforms appear. When viewing the form in the PDF preview, everything works as it should; however, when I bring up the the PDF form outside of Designer, the subforms do not appear as they are supposed to when the checkboxes are turned on. Can someone take a look at this and lend some insight? Thanks,Jenny

Well, yes, that helped a lot.You gave me the low-down, "enabling for dummies" version, which is just what I need. The attachement is particularly informative. Thanks for taking the time to explain that to me.Regards,Jenny

I know Adobe Reader tells us that we cannot save information typed into a form, but I want to do that anyway. You guys are smart, so I am betting you know a clever way to circumvent this "no saving" obstacle. BTW, my end users are public school teachers, so they will only be using the free Adobe Reader versions to open and complete the forms I am making for them. Thanks and every hopeful,Jenny

Hi Farah,I brought up your form and your are correct--your script does look fine! I have to run out to a long meeting and will not be able to poke around the form to find out what is going on, so my suggestion at this point is to post your question to the discussion board. I think that if you just post the question about why the script isn't working and attaching your form, you will get an answer quite soon. The experts on the board always have very helpful insights.Let me know if you do not get...

Thanks Diego,I have read about using a custom default submit button, but I don't think that will work for my purposes unless, that is, I am missing something in your response. I cannot anticipate who my end users will want to email their forms to so I wouldn't know which address to list in the URL field. Am I correct in seeing this as an obstacle? It would be cool if my users could email the entire form by clicking on a button, but I imagine that will not be possible in my scenario. It appears I...

Hi Farah,Just temporarily change the visibility settings from "hidden" to "visible". First, in the hierarchy palette, click on the hidden subform you want to see, then move over to the right and in the object palette, change the visibility setting to visible. If two or more of the subforms are visible, then they will probably be stacked on top of each other because I believe that the version of that particular form you are looking at is an early version and I had not yet made the hidden subforms...
