Re: Changing Hourly Rates and Effect on Projects - Workfront 16-09-2019
Can you share support's response? The answer is different for cost and revenue. It should be the same for closed projects (nothing should really trigger a recalc for them) but your in-flight projects, with time logged both sides of the rate change and/or time still to be logged post rate-change are certainly going to be tricky to get right without billing records. Re: Disable Inline Editing at Column Level - Workfront 07-09-2019
Imre,Well for one, that means creating another field, which isn't much better than hacking-away at text mode. I already have too many fields of this sort to work around problems. But if we really wanted to get fancy, WF could just offer a little checkbox that says "disable inline editing." They could even grey-out the selector to indicate the field will NOT be inline-editable because of all the usual reasons; this would be great for those new to the system.

Re: Hide or Edit Default Expense Types - Workfront 05-09-2019
Couldn't agree more. We don't use ANY of the default expense types.

Re: Comma-separated changed to one-per-line - Workfront 08-10-2019
Okay, I think everyone is going to love this...maybe a bug? Melinda's code above, for me, ONLY works if the Resource Manager is ALSO listed in an unedited column on the view. If I remove the boring, unedited Resource Manager column, the fancy, text mode version stops working (values go blank). Kevin Quosig

Re: Border specific fields - Workfront 28-08-2019
For similar reasons to the OP, the ability to graphically set-off a group of columns would be a big help.

Re: Ability to change collapsed project view and save preference - Workfront 16-08-2019
Yeah this is one of the QoL things that you don't notice until someone points it out, especially as the SysAdmin. It's literally the first thing I do when opening a project: hit the collapse button. This lets me open only what I need to deal with and focus on it.I see both sides, many may want it to default all-open like it does now. So make it a user preference. Also make it a global-settable default when most people want it that way (over-ridable by a personal default, of course).

New Projects: Ability to Add Default Custom Forms - Workfront 18-07-2019
In lieu of, or maybe as part of this Idea...Require Users to only create new Projects from a templatehttps://experience.workfront.com/s/idea/0870z000000PSAfAAO/detail...I would like the ability to modify the default "New Project" feature so that at least I can define what custom forms are attached.I don't realistically think my users will 100% of the time use a template, even though I've told them to.I'm also realistic that exceptions might happen. In either case, one driver for this feature is t...

Re: Audit of Field Name References - Workfront 29-07-2019
Just responding a bit after-the-fact for anyone else who runs into this: I can't recall the specifics, but Doug was 99% correct that in most cases, the swap of names of fields seems to also swap the names out in the calculations and other back-end stuff. Even the field display logic worked. I want to say the only exception was some issues with drop-down values, but in my case it was minor. Kevin Quosig
