Thank you very Jono; I was able to "borrow" some server space. I created an HTML document and had it point to the page. Worked like a charm. Thanks again JonoChomp

Jono, you were correct. It does not work with the version of Acrobat pro I have installed. It does however work with the version of Adobe reader the users have installed. I will look at the code and see what happens if I manually change the code. If not, there will be a 24 hour turn around if I need to make any changes. Thanks again for the helpChomp

Thanks everyone. I sent my “work” stuff home to see what I could do. And… On the version I am running at home, 8.2.1 I can right click and add a hyper link. I guess I will be doing some of this at home. It will be a 24 hour turn around … I guess…. Thanks again everyone.Chomp

Good Day All;I am trying to figure out how to add a link on a form that will take a user to help files. On the version I am running there does not appear to be a way to create a “HTML” link. Trust me, I have looked at all the dropdowns. I am running version 8.05.02. I have tried using the HTML submit button, but that give me the error, “cannot display the webpage”.I took a look at the XML source for this button and was thinking it might have something to do with thesubmitThis is what I would lik...

Good Day All;I have been asked to see if I can come up with a form the has approx. 40 questions in 2 seperate sections. The owner of the form would not only like to view the completed form but also have the ability to only see questions marked "Yes" or "No" or "N/A". The three options would be available from a dropdown.I hope I have explained this well enoughChomp

Good Day All;I am wondering if there is a way to change the name of an attachment when the email button is clicked.Let me explain.I have designed a form that will be emailed from one are to another and when the email button is clicked the email attachment is named (example) “_150s2140t32f8b0iu.pdf”. Of course this is a meaningless name. I would like to somehow change this to better represent the name of the form. Thanks for any suggestions ThanksChomp

Good day all;I am designing a new form and I am trying to figure out how to use 1 button to either display a field or hide a field. What I am looking for exactly is the following.A button that will default with the caption “Hide Field X” when the form is opened (and Field X is visible). When the user clicks on this button, “Field X” is hidden and the caption on the button changes to “Display Field X”. When the user clicks on this button “Field X” is displayed and the caption on the button changes...

Found the answer... And yes... in was in the "help" section... What can I say I was making it a lot more crazy than I needed to.You can use a date/time field to automatically show the current date by using the Runtime Property option in the Value tab of the Object palette. When using a current date field, the date updates to reflect the system’s current date each time a user opens the form. 1. In the Library palette, click the Standard category and drag a Date/Time Field object onto the form desi...

Good day all;I am trying to have the current date and time automatically be generated in a “date/time” field when the form is opened. I went through the forum and found an entry from Srini “ xfa.host.messageBox("" + Date());” . Of course this brought up a system message box with the date and time. I then tried “DateTimeField1.rawValue = (“”+date())… This also gave me a system message box with the date and time…Please let me know where I am going wrongChomp
