Hi,I cannot reproduce you problem at my end.All my objects placed in a flowed subform which is placed in a flowed page can be moved in and out the subform or page without any problems.Not sure what's going wrong in your Designer, sorry.

I'd do it with master pages I think.Make one with the footer and one without. If you only want the footer on the first page you could set the master page to only display once - on the Master Page tab of the Object Palette.

Bear in mind that you can change the vertical position of objects in a Flowed layout by dragging their position up and down in the hierarchy. Also if you hover an object over a container like a page or subform and release, it will insert the object into the container at the bottom. N.
