Re: Visitor ID report in Adobe Analytics - Adobe Analytics 11-06-2019
The unspecified value might be coming from bot traffic.... In that case you might want to set up a segment in workspace to filter out unspecified values.

Re: Cross domain tracking - Dynamic Tag Management 05-02-2018
Hi,You may need to play with the "This site spans multiple domains" option within Adobe. How to setup domain / sub domain / additional domains while creating a web property in DTM? While DTM doesn't really have a concept of Visit/Visitor, It does need to know when to fire an exit link vs not. The visit/visitor is determined by Analytics. If you are using MCID on both sites, the visitor should persist across sites within the global report suite (assuming the visitor doesn't already have different ...

Re: How does DTM send tracking to GA account? - Dynamic Tag Management 12-01-2018
When you add UA on a Tool level, by default DTM outputs the UA library and page view tracking on every page load, even when no Page Load Rules (PLR) are in place. If you do not want UA to load on certain pages, you can create a PLR with condition(s) to identify the pages (e.g. a URL path) and then within Google Universal Analytics tool section of the PLR, there is a checkbox labeled "Don't load Google Universal Analytics on these pages" that you can check. So in other words, by default everything ...

Re: Best practice to handle pages with data data structure - Adobe Analytics 10-01-2018
Thankfully, DTM will work with any data layer you throw at it - even more than one! The best practice is probably to leverage the ContextHub Tool to hook into your JSON objects, then create Data Elements that align with each of the elements in your data layers. Here's the documentation on ContextHub, you'll want to leverage the Custom Data Layer feature:Data Layer Management Using the ContextHub Tool Hope that helps!

Re: Bounce Rate didn't work correctly with Segment in Workspace - Adobe Analytics 03-01-2018
There are some metrics in Adobe Analytics that are visit-based, meaning they persist on every hit throughout the visit. Bounce rate uses these visit-based metrics (specifically entries and/or entry page), so it can sometimes pull in extra data when you have a filter enabled.Hyder's post is spot-on if you're looking for specific values.

Re: Page name issue - Dynamic Tag Management 20-12-2017
Okay well I don't see anything in this code that directly replaces anything with a space. My next guess is the dataLayer[0]['pageURL'] variable you reference sometimes has spaces in it. Maybe whatever outputs this data layer variable has it when it is output sometimes. Or maybe there is some other code elsewhere that alters it sometimes. Or, maybe you have other code elsewhere that sets your page name using different code, that executes/overrides this code, sometimes. I'm not sure what more I ca...

Re: Activity map question - Adobe Analytics 20-12-2017
Hi Cathy,The calls sent to the report suites mentioned below are sent from either Reports & Analytics pages or through Activity Map tool to track usage of the tool:- omniture.clickmap- amc.global.prod- amc.aa.prod- adbims- adbadobenonacdcprod- obue.analytics.spa- amchelpThese calls are not sent to your report suites and are internal to Adobe. Hence, these are billed to companies internal to Adobe and not to your company.Regarding the issue 2. the Activity Map data is not sent when Activity Map t...

Re: Context Variable - Adobe Analytics 13-12-2017
Dear Cathy,Context Variables are not sent to Adobe Analytics directly without Processing Rules Setup.Context Data Value has to be copied to Adobe Analytics Page Variables with the help of Processing Rules to utilize in Adobe Analytics or Workspace.Even Data Feed will not have these variables listed out since it is after Processing Rules.Context Data Values that are not read by processing rules when a hit is processed are discarded.Thank You!Arun
