Re: Make bot filter a report and/or a segment - Adobe Analytics 30-04-2012
I agree. The SiteCat 15.3 update for this was way overdue (IMHO) to manage these things myself within the interface. I might even follow on with Kevin's idea here with a predictive analytics "what if" tool for this, so that someone with less time (or less skills) can model the effects of removing the bots themselves on the fly, on a per-bot segment basis (whether it's a search bot, or a page scraping bot, or those magical in-house monitoring IT bots that tend to get applied without letting the a...

Automatically display the number of a custom variable when it's enabled in SiteCatalyst, in the menu - Adobe Analytics 30-01-2012
A best practice that I use, to make it easier for analysts to find reports related to custom variables (traffic \ conversion \ events \ hierarchies) is to put the # of the variable in front of the friendly name of the variable in the reporting interface. For example, if I have a traffic variable named "Sub Navigation" I'll set it up in the admin panel like this (theoretically as s.prop2 \ traffic 2): "2. Sub Navigation". If I enable a custom variable in the admin panel with a friendly name, it w...

Alerts or Targets based off a combination of variables - Adobe Analytics 11-12-2011
Similar to what I can do in a traditional business intelligence tool, I would like to be able to set an alert (or targe) based off a combination of variables. For example, set an alert to trigger an email if:1) s.prop1 is blank, and2) s.prop2 has a value, and3) s.prop3 has another value - or 1) s.prop1="blah"and2) s.prop2="ha ha"and3) s.prop3="wazzup"- or so on. Currently, the Alert (or Target) functionality in SiteCatalyst is limited to one variable at a time. Having such an ability would mitiga...

Move "Operating System" to the top of the Mobile reports - Adobe Analytics 22-08-2011
I know I can do this with a Custom Menu. However, I am recommending that for out-the-box SiteCatalyst, that Operating System gets moved to the top of the Mobile reports list. Operating System is what gets all the press (and marketing attention) compared to any other Mobile report. - CJ

Re: Additional data fields for Data Warehouse from the image request - Adobe Analytics 11-08-2011
Hi CJ, if you have the variables to spare, but are concerned about request length, maybe this is helpful:http://blogs.omniture.com/2009/11/24/trimming-the-fat-with-dynamic-variables/ so longnic

Re: User Management - Adobe Analytics 11-08-2011
I agree on this one - furthermore, the email tool would save the emails somewhere so that users can look them up later (use case: emails about new reports, upgrades, training, etc.). The email groups would be based of the User Groups in the admin tool.

Admin Console Report Suite Settings - report download - make it more user friendly - Adobe Analytics 10-08-2011
Currently, the Excel download of report suite settings in the admin tool, under report suites, is somewhat generic. I'd like to get it to output more like what you see when you actually go into the admin interface to change the settings, more user friendly in terms of report output. I'd also like to see the "friendly names" of the various props \ evars \ events in the report out (vs. just saying enabled), and I'd furthermore like to ensure all settings for the variables are shown (DUV \ WUV \ MU...
