AAM+ACC+Target VS rtCDP+AJO - Web personlization

Can someone elaaborate on the "web desteination" in AJO? Currently on old stack, but uppgrading to new.

Personalization through Target must have built-in logic in  audiences sendt from AAM due to the way Target works (not making ECIDs be eligible for several experiences in the same customer journey).

As far as i can see there is a "Web" destination that SEEMS to be the equivalent to Target as a onsite personlization tool. But - one can also export audiences built in CDP/AJO to Target and use them there.

Having rtCDP+AJO AND Target; what use cases will be the best to use Target and where will "Web" destination be the preferred soultion?

Hi MagnusFl,

Do you have a durable identity that crosses multiple channels, where you want to address someone across channels as part of a journey? AJO is oriented around profiles and engagement across more than one channel, while Target is primarily oriented around a single identity or ECID for website only visitors.

yes, this im aware of...

but when would AEP+ Target be the prefferred combination? Mapping audiences from AEP to Target is possible i think, so when would that actually be a preferred solution? Compared to using the web-destination that is....
