To my understanding, this is actually possible, but not easy.  I was having this discussion the other day with one of my colleagues on the Analytics side who had this same scenario and it required Adobe Professional Services to create a custom process to mark this data so it would be properly ingested for the right date/time on the Analytics side.  I'd recommend submitting a ticket with Campaign Support so we can look into the details further.
