Yes, what you typed is right. I did not replace the user services during this point, but they were replaced a while back when we first upgraded from version 8 to version 9. I had been using the processes with the updated user services for a year or so without issue. I was thinking that the stack trace was throwing up errors from userservicev2 because that was where the process stalled.
The reason I modified the processes was so I could create an LCA file (Adobe Enterprise Support always asks for one when I phone for help) and I was unable to export any of the processes that still had the old deployment ID. Maybe my problem is that I am not exporting my LCA the proper way? I right click the folder in WorkBench and choose Create LiveCycle Archive. Is there another way to do this?
