Hi
I have a livecycle server which i am using to assign reader extension commenting rights to pdf documents.
I have an application which is embedding Reader within a window, to view and edit those pdfs. The application uses a Reader plugin to control commenting/saving etc.
Using my application:-
If i load a pdf with commenting rights, i can add comments, but i cannot save (export) the comments as an fdf file.
if i load a pdf with commenting+online rights, I can add comments but cannot save an fdf file
if i load a pdf with commenting+form export, I can comment AND save the fdf file.
Using Reader as the application, i can load any of the pdfs and comment and export the fdf data (Document>Comments>Export to data file).
I have 3 questions :-
1) what is the difference between commenting and commenting+online rights?
2) if i select "import/export form data" in liveccyle, the PDPerms in the resulting pdf file say that form
export=NO, import=YES, but I can save my fdf anyway. Is this expected?
3) if the form import/export rights are not assigned, why is that Reader (as the application) can export the form data?
Thanks in advance for your help.
