Hi there,

I have Brightcove HTML5 videos that I am trying to track, some events are being captured just fine (ended, play, pause) but others are not (% complete, time complete) with everything else being the same (analytics events, etc). How can I fix this? Please help.

For example, % complete being set to 10, when I go past 10% of the video it still doesn't fire. However, for Play it fires as soon as I play the video, for Ended it fires as soon as the video ends.

I tried several different things, spent 4 hours trying a different gazillion things and trying to set variables in Analytics etc, didn't work. And finally tried %complete again later in the night and it worked. Just not sure why it behaved differently, all the settings were the same as I had earlier.

I have Brightcove video player (HTML5 implementation).

Interesting...

So the tracking is working as you'd expect now? If so, go ahead and mark your own answer correct so that the question is closed. I've send out a request to get a bit more information on the tracking a bright cove player in DTM from our internal teams. I notice that there are a few questions on the community about this and I'd like to get some more information out about it.

Do you have a URL where we can test this? Also, what video player are you using? Are you using just a default HTML 5 player?
