Using Target VEC to edit Marketo Forms

Avatar

Level 1

I am trying to set up an activity where I remove one of our form fields for a specific audience. I've created an XT activity in Target, created my audience, and removed the form field; however, when I QA and test the experience live, but the form will no longer submit. I've tried variations where I prepopulate the field, hide it, and even remove all the code related to that field, but I have had no luck. Does anyone have experience with a similar use case?

Maybe the field you removed is mandatory and the form validation returns an error?

Can you share or DM a QA link?

Thank you for your response! I believe that was the issue. I did attempt to repopulate the field I was hiding on the backend in hopes that it would be considered "filled out" when the form is submitted, but all those changes seemed to break the form. I finally went ahead and created a new form in Marketo and just replaced the form using Target instead of making edits to the original form. The activity is working correctly now. For possible future use cases, is there any way to update a requited form field in Target?

Thanks,
