Hi all,

Here are the questions from one of the clients.

Internationalization (i18n):

Q1. S&P creates an index per language. Is it possible to create one combined index which contain the data for all the languages together.

Impact: Customer is having different design in shared content where English is not kept in different language copies. So with S&P it will not show the shared resource and not fall back to English.

Q2. S&P indexes the pages based on language/account. Does not fallback between two index accounts, so you will not get the mix result from English if record does not exist in language index. Is there support for multilingual index so that if search term does not found in language with matching result then fallback to display English.

Faceting/Dimension:

Q1. How can automatic facets/dimensions be created in S&P.

Impact: Business has to configure the dimension manually in S&P.

Q2. How can dynamic facets/dimensions be created in S&P. Is it possible to provide support for Facet/Dimensions search. Is it possible to display no. of records  tagged to facets. Bubble up the records tagged directly to facet/dimension and it’s decedents.

File crawler:

Q1: Support to crawl the actual content inside the files along with Meta data defined for files. These files can be in DAM as well as third party system e.g. https://literature.cdn.keysight.com/litweb/pdf/5990-9537EN.pdf?id=2150237

Also what are all file types supported by S&P. Content output from File crawler should be merged with content index so that search result have result from multiple sources.

Login Aware/Personalized content:

Q1: How can the content be shown as locked/unlocked based on whether the content is public or protected

Internationalization:

How is the indexing setup? Is S&P crawling the sitemap? If yes, you can create a custom sitemap to include multiple locales.

Faceting:

1. Not sure what you meant by automatic facets created?

2. Dynamic Facets can be created by matching the facet type. If certain keyword matches a facet type, you can display certain facets only - this can be handled in you component.

File crawler:

Pretty sure S&P cannot crawl files on the page

These features are available OOTB in S&P
