We are just looking into AAM and the webinar was very relevant to us.

This was maybe the second time I heard about the People core service and I'm kind of confused about what that is?

We have Analytics and Target integrated and we are using the free AAM audiences for A/B testing. We also signed up for the Coop and have a people metric in Analytics. How is the People core service different from the free AAM audience we currently use?

Thanks for your question! Core Services, in a nutshell, include features that simplify product implementation and enable cross-solution workflows, such as audience segmentation, customer attribute uploading, and collaboration tools.

"People core service" is comprised of the "Profiles & Audiences" core service (the last core service listed in the chart below, which can also be found here😞

Quickly manage tags, collect the right data, and deliver personalized experiences with Dynamic Tag Management - all in real time.


Manage user and product entitlements across all your Adobe clouds and solutions.


Easily store, sync, and share all your digital assets in a central location, to save time and deliver a more consistent customer experience.


Search, browse, select, pay, and download Digital Marketing extensions via apps.


Collaboration is intrinsic to the Experience Cloud. Use the Feed to stay connected to your team through a central feed that lets you share posts, comments, and attachments.

Mobile Services

Adobe Mobile Services brings together mobile marketing capabilities for mobile applications from across the Experience Cloud, which allows you to understand and improve user engagement with your mobile applications.

Profiles & Audiences

Also known as the People core service. Create a comprehensive view of individual customers by connecting Adobe and non-Adobe data in your Experience Cloud solutions. Figure out what matters most to them as they interact across touch points. Recognize familiar consumers when they visit from unfamiliar devices. Even group users into audiences for targeted marketing efforts.

  • Audiences - Categorize different types of customers into audiences, then share those audiences across Marketing Cloud solutions.
  • Customer attributes - audience enrichment that lets you connect consumer information you have collected outside of the Marketing Cloud.
  • Device graph - Collaborate with the world's most popular brands to recognize a familiar consumer behind an unfamiliar device. (In beta, for Marketing Cloud Device Co-op members only.)
