Adobe Target Installation with Only Data on a Different Cloud

Hi,

1. Where does Adobe Target store its data ? On an RDBMS or so?

2. Is it possible to request that only data is stored in local cloud (may be IBM cloud) and Adobe Target as such should be installed in Adobe's cloud (Like Amazon cloud)?
