xfa.form.recalculate(1); only a particular subform

Hello,

I have many subforms with an xfa.form.recalculate(1); on each of them. The problem is when the form recalculates a subform that is usally hidden unhides. If i take off the xfa.form.recalculate(1); on the buttons it stays hidden.

Can I xfa.form.recalculate(1); but swap out the form part for the location? I tried this but no luck: xfa.detail.recalculate(1);
