We have a printer which is set up for student transcript printing. The format is defined in XDC file (Tray 1 for 8.5*11 custom media). The printer works well if it is used for transcript only. However, if you print a different doc, say, MS Word doc, you have to reset the printer after the Word doc is printed. Otherwise, the printer rejects to print transcripts.
The printer is HP LaserJet 4250.
I am very new to XDC. Following are my questions:
1. Is XDC designed for a particular printing job (local settings), or for all jobs of a printer (global settings)?
2. There are 3 trays and many medias (I think the medias here are kinds of docs to be printed). Tray 1 is reserved for transcript printing. How can I enable Tray 2 and Tray 3 for other printings?
