I'm just wondering what the difference is between Livecycle designer 8 and Livecycle ES4

There have been many improvements since Designer 8.

You can use fragments and stylesheets to reuse contents in your forms.

You can embed Flash files, you have event propagation, better validation etc.

Also, there is a JavaScript API in Designer which allows you to develop your own macros for Designer.
