Unembed fonts on submit

If I delpoy an form with embedded fonts, can they be unembedded when user emails it to me so the attahchment isn't as large?

Hi,

I don't think you can unembed the fonts after the form is deployed, eg prior to submission.

However you have two choices when designing the form:

1) Go to the Forms / Form Properties / PDF Options and untick embed fonts.

2) Choose a font that is more efficient and dosen't need to be embeded. I use Myriad Pro which results in a much smaller file size when compared to Times New Roman.Changing a form with Arial and Times New Roman to Myriad Pro more than halved the file size of the form.

Also check if there are other features like digital signatures, which will double the file size when it is signed.
