Unable to run JBoss on Windows Server 2008

Avatar

I just copied the Adobe pre-configured Jboss to the server machine and tried to start it. It doesn't work.

Configured adobe-ds.xml, cluster-service.xml,login-config.xml, and mssql-ds.xml files.

UAC is set to OFF.

The jbosssvc.exe file is not available in the media(downloaded from adobe site). SO just skipped windows service creation step.

When I try to start the jboss using "Run.bat" file, the command prompt does nothing.

Any suggestion are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nith

This is due to Java heap size issue.

I tried to run with more reserved memory for JVM which was not working.

But when try to decrease the allocated memory it seems to be working now. I am not this will cause any out of memory exception in the future.

Thanks for the query, Nith.

Refer to the "Configuring JBoss as a Windows service" appendix in the Installing and Deploying LiveCycle ES2 for JBoss guide at this link. It should help you resolve the issue at hand.

If you need any further help, please post the relevant traces/logs and the argument that you used to set the Java heap size.
