I have trying to install LiveCycle using the Windows 64 bit installer. I am using the turnkey option (with selects everything needed - JBOSS, JDK , etc). I get an error in the settings section that says
Turnkey Install Verification Error
The following port required for JBOSS instance but still in use : 8080
I used netstat -anb and didnt see 8080 being used at all.
I looked at the installtion log for livecycel and it says

This has been bugging me for a whole day now and any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, this is a trial version as we are trying to evaluate buying LiveCycle.

It seems you are running in to same issue that has been discussed @ http://forums.adobe.com/message/5581747
Please refer that forum and see if it resolves the issue

Actually no. It was taking up so much time that I tried installation on another machine and it worked.

Finally got it to work
Added -Djboss.service.binding.set=ports-01 to JAVA_OPTS in jboss's run.con.bat
Started the service and waited (for 15 mins). The server had started on port 8180.
In the Adobe LC Configuration manager, I unchecked "Deploy LiveCycle ES4 EAR files".
Then everything worked fine.
But I had not expected that I would have to do so many configurations in a "turnkey" installation.
Thanks,

Hi Aniruddha,
Turnkey works fine without any extra configuration settings but it seems the system that has been used in your case had some other applications that are running which might have already used the ports that are needed for default turnkey installation

Hi Santosh,
Niether
netstat -abn
nor
CurrPorts (an application downloaded from http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/cports.html)
showed anything running on 8080.
Please let me know how to find out which application/service has opened the port.
Thanks,
Aniruddha

Hi Aniruddha,
Please check whether the virus scan is enabled on your machine?
If it is enabled please disable and retry the deployment. It might solve the issue.
Thanks,
Shishir
