The question of "Multicast" which in "LCCS"

If I use "Multicast"  in "LCCS"

1. if i have a room, and has one stream publisher, and there are 3000 subscribers. and  i suppose that 3000 subscribers are  in "P2P" mode normally.so many subscribers. Is this feasible?

2 if my web site is in china, and all clients are in china too. then ,if a lots of clients can't use "P2P", are those clients connect to "LCCS" server( in US) to play the stream? if it "yes",the distance i think is too far away, and the delay will be too hight....

Some body give me an answer?

best wishes!

Hi,

Yes if there is only stream publisher, then the streaming would stay in P2P mode. As for your next question I would let the P2P experts answer this.

Yes you might experience slight delays and latency because of the proximity of LCCS servers, but then LCCS is a really and scalable service and might offset the delay and latency issues.

Thanks

Arun
