Table insertion not possible (grey)

Hello, I am relatively new to LifeCycle Designer and have a problem with inserting a table in a invoice document, which later should be fillable in acrobat.

I added several text fields, but the table insertion is not working. In the menu and in the object library "table" is in grey.

Do you have some advice for me?

Perhaps this is important: I created a PDF with InDesign, opened it with LCD and chose as import option "fixed pages".

I tried the import option "flexible layout", too, but there the logo  is not in good quality, the fonts are only similar and the colors are mostly changed to black. But there the table insertion is not in grey, it would work.

Can a table be inserted in a document imported with "fixed pages", too?

Hi,

Designer does not allow to overlay dynamic objects (subforms, tables etc.) over background PDF's.

This is always the case when you import PDF files and create a static form.

Designer's import filter can convert PDF's into an dynamic form, but it has some limitations as you already figured out.

It only supports RGB colors with 8 Bit and will raster all images with 72dpi.

Effects like shadows, gradiations are removed or blacked out and fake font styles (italic/bold) are removed completely if the font itself does not have such styles.

I may try another question: Is there a workaround to create a "table" by several separte text fields – but it should be possible to calculate with this "table".
