Special characters are lost when converting JetForm (IFD) files

Hello!

This is a critical one for our client...

The client is importing IFD forms (JetForms) in LC Designer to convert them into PDF. After importing, a lot of changes must be done in order to adapt the forms to the newer technology. In some cases this involves a whole lot of work.

However, there is one problem we believe we shouldn't be facing: special characters are not being converted correctly (the original IFD forms are in Brazilian Portuguese).

For instance, when importing a form containing the word "atenção", it becomes "aten'âo". There is a lot of text in those 2,400 forms and it is a nightmare to correct them all.

We tried opening the forms in the same machine where JetForms is installed (and with the original fonts), but still LC Designer can't find the fonts and opens the dialog "Missing Fonts". However, when trying to browse for the right fonts, they can't  be found there.

Please, does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Thank you very much!

Marcos
