Hi,
How to create a signature field in pdf form using livecycle designer to sign using signature pad like Wacom? Also how to create a signature field to capture the signature in iPad? The need is to capture customer signature (handwritten) in pdf.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
There are a couple of options, but not all of them will satisfy both forms on a computer and on the iPad.
See previous threads on the iPad.
If you are using the latest version of Designer (ADEP Designer 10) and your users have Acrobat/Reader X, then you could use a Flash object in your form for the signature, but this wont work on the iPad. See example here: http://assure.ly/rqCuEn.
For the iPad you will need to make sure the form is saved as a Static PDF Form (and not as a Dynamic XML Form). If the user opens the form in PDF Expert on the iPad, they can then apply a wet signature.
Good luck,
Niall

Hi,
But if the form is saved as static pdf, then the dynamic functionality will be lost. So is there any other way? Also is there a way that we can have common pdf (with signature) for both ipad and computer.

No,
XFA forms are not currently supported on iOS devices. You can get Static PDF forms to work in PDF Expert, but not Dynamic XML Forms.
I can't get links now, but you should be able to search this forum for iOS/iPad and wet signatures.

Hi Niall,
Using ADEP can we capture the signature using a signature pad with the biometric details? Also is it possible to have fillable forms in mobile devices using ADEP mobile?
