Setting Mandatory Fields in a Subform

Avatar

Hi,

Still finding my way through LS...

I am making a form with multiple pages, with some of the subforms are set hidden unless user choose certain answers from adropdown lists to set them visible.

Is there a way to set all the fields on a subform to be mandatory when the subform is visible and let the fields remain optional when the subform is hidden? Or do I have to do scripting for each field?

Thank you!

Hi,

There is an example here, where you are changing the mandatory property for each object one by one: http://assure.ly/hxHupW.

If you are using LC Designer ES2 v9, then have a look here at John Brinkman's blog: http://blogs.adobe.com/formfeed/2011/05/optional-sections-of-forms.html. However all of your users will need to be using Acrobat/Reader v9.1 and above, in order to use the inactive property correctly.

Hope that helps,

Niall
