server side script, update a collection node from 3rd party db

Hi All,  Has anyone had any luck creating/updating a collection node from a server side script?  I've been successful with a server side scripting, but I'm looking for a way to seed a collection node with a cron job, or similar.  Can some help? Thanks, Doug

A little bird told me there is a new SDK out there with server-side support for things like createNode, publishItem, etc.

Raff, you are the freakin best! Thanks to you and the AFCS team, I'll check it out. 

I was looking around for FB4 version of SDK, but must not have looked hard enough for a new rev.

I checked the  http://blogs.adobe.com/collabmethods/ this morning for the first time in a few months (even though I've been developing) and it's eerily quiet.
