Samples database starting failed

Hi.

When i start the samples database it always failed (it appears and dissappears at once), so when i try the livecycle samples tomcat throws this exception:

java.sqj.SQLException: socket creation error

at .... and so on

My os is WindowsXP SP3

Help me, please!

You must be trying to start the Samples database of LiveCycle Data Services?  If yes, chances are you have a port conflict ("socket creation error").  Resolve it by stopping the Windows process that currently is listening on that port. Use Microsoft's TCPView to troubleshoot and figure out which process is using which port:

Also, your local firewall might be blocking the port.

Yes, I can't start Samples database.

Samples database port is 9002, isn't it? I was looking for it in TCPView, but didn't find. So i think 9002 is free.

I have no firewall and stopped antivirus.

I tried to change database port in server.properties file, but it didn't helped...

Hmm... 3 weeks passed, and now it works! But it's very strange because I DIDN'T DO anything. Can somebody explain this?
