Folks,

I hope this is seen as a leap in the WhiteBoard platform.

Please check out and comment on my prototype and demo at:

http://www.colabry.com/

Included is drag and drop:

Panel

Canvas

Image

TabNav

Flv Player

It's a (b)leading edge thing, and breaks easy.....

Please provide comments (midnight deadline for submission)

Wow - I did indeed eventually get it to crash, but it seems you're off to a very good start! I enjoyed getting to rotate Kevin and Jon =).

A word of warning, however - you're letting folks log in with your dev credentials - you should consider having them come in as promoted guests instead (see the second video tutorial for details).

Any chance you'd be willing to share your technique? At some point, I'm going to make a tutorial for adding custom shapes like these to the whiteboard, but if you're interested, a tutorial from an actual developer using the platform would be even better!

Thanks for the demo - cool stuff!

Nigel,

Thanks for pointing out the important account issue. The video was *very* helpful. I'm going to de-link the published archvive versions.

New version at http://www.colabry.com

>>Any chance you'd be willing to share your technique?

Yes, yes and yes.

However:

1.  I have re-architected ( really just super mega hacked (certainly not mokey patched*)) the WB API, which of course cause lot's of issues....... the least of which is n versions of an uncontrolled API.

2.  I'm currently a month behind on realizing new/more ideas and realizing them even in a buggy fasion, so I don't wanna refactor while there's new art to be made.

3. I'd like to get a viral demo on the AFCS gallery if possible (which suffers the (1) issue too)

That said, if I could solicit help to develope an in-the-box/in-the-current-api  content/examples/howto , I'd be very cool with that..... (I know there are more Guinea pigs out there).

Btw tip-o-the-hat to Fang for his support.

Well, I was just totally sold by Adam, the idea being that if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it’s a duck, right? So if this duck is not giving you the noise that you want, you’ve got to just punch that duck until it returns what you expect.
