Workbench Issue with Turnkey install on x64 Vista

Hi There,

I am having the following problem that occurs on multiple systems.

I am running Windows Vista x64 ultimate on both machines ( 1 with 8 Gig of Ram the other 4)

JDK => 1.5.18

I can run the turnkey install without any difficulties however after installing and rebooting the JBOSS server. My workbench becomes annoyingly unstalble.

Although I was managed to open the Component view before rebooting this fails after rebooting. (I did manually set the appropiate rights to the mysql-ds.xml file).

This happens on both machines also after reinstalling various times...

Any sugestions?

Regards,

Rob

Hi Bob,

This is not going to solve your problem but you have encountered two issues:

1) The currently shipping version of Workbench is not officially supported on Windows Vista.

2) There is a well-known bug in Eclipse 3.2.1 and the currently shipping version of Workbench uses Eclipse 3.2.1. The Eclipse org claims the bug is fixed in 3.2.2. The next release of Workbench uses Eclipse 3.2.2.
