SSL certificate expiration date

Avatar

Hello,

We're using Adobe LiveCycle JBoss Installation, and the SSL certificate we're using to enable Rights Management has expired.

We've created a new one which is now working fine, but we would like to know if there's a way to control or extend the expiration date on the certificate, as 3 months is a very short period.

Regards,

Marwa

The SSL server certificate is used to enables HTTP traffic between Acrobat and the LiveCycle Rights Management server to be encrypted.  It does NOT "enable" Rights Management per se.  In other words, even if the SSL ceriticate expires, Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management will continue to work.

You do control the expiry date of the certificate.  The -validity argument lets you control it, in terms of days.  3650 will set the expiry date 10 years from the date of creation.

Thanks Jayan.

We successfully generated a new certificate with the proper validity argument.

But we have one more question:

when creating the new certificate, we had to use a certificate name different from the previous one, as we were not allowed to import the new certificate without the name change, getting an error that the certificate already existed.

Is there a way to remove previously-imported certificates, including expired ones.

Appreciative of your help.
