Room Freze

HI,

When I get maybe about 40 people in the same room it just stops working.

Is it a bandwidh issue? do I need to assign more resources to it?

Text is not sent to other uses. I cant delete users from the console streams are stuck but its not streaming.

New users cant stram. I get lots of phantom ursers with 2,3,4 at the end of their names. and they stay in the rooms for hours after everyone left.

Any help would be great.

thanks

It's hard to say what is going on, but if you send us a room URL we can look at our server-side logs and may be able to get more information.

Hi Russ,

What's everyone doing in the rooms? In general, I wonder if it's your

client that's freezing or the server. It's more than likely the client, as

we've tested the server with substantially more than 40 clients =).

can you describe more of what's happening (messaging, etc) at the time of

freeze up? Are you trying to display a lot of text?

I am going to show Nigel some logs from one of the room. I didn't see any error but I did see an enormous amount of publish/unpublish of streams  (basically it looked like one client was continuosly publishing and unpublish a stream). And it could be that when this happen, FMS can't keep up with it when you also have more than 40 connected clients.

We'll be at MAX for the next few days, but we'll try to look at those logs when we have some downtime. But it would be good if you can look at your application and/or tell us more of what you are doing.

Guys,

Thanks for your help.

I'm sure its on the client side. I did a proof of concept app that is kind of like a call in show.

So i have a lot of people chatting and a screener who looks a peoples video cams (to make sure they are decent)

then puts them live.

when live eveyone gets to see the cam and get the audio.

I'm sure this is an problem of understanding the best way of doing this.

I'll be at MAX also attending a few of LCCS sessions.

If i can sit down with you guys it would be great.

thanks.
