Recording Archive is Empty

hi,

i am using screen sharing capturing with LCCS and record the session. but when i looked into the dev portal archive is created but its empty.

can anybody have face this problem ?

one more issue how much time it needed to make the achive file for recording.

Hi Vishal,

I can't say that I've ever seen that happen.  I would double check you did everything right when recording.

I assume you;

1/ have a recording repository setup

2/ started the recording

3/ stopped the recording

I would also try a different room, and would also try with an explicit archive ID that is all lower cased (we had reports and few bugs related to case sensitivity - to be fixed soon).

On re-reading your original post I do have a question.  What exactly do you mean by, "when i looked into the dev portal archive is created but its empty"?  Could you provide more details about your issue?

regarding your questions

1. Yes, i have setup the  recording repository and i have checked the repository server by copying files from other server to verify is it working or not?

2. Yes, i do,  start recorded the session. (cSession.archiveManager.isRecording = true;)

3. yes, i do stop recording by using (cSession.archiveManager.isRecording = false;).

hi Nikola,

under my dev login portal, under the application i have the recordings but when i get the report for these recording no usage data is found.it shows nothing.

Hi Vishal,

Please refer to the forum post http://forums.adobe.com/thread/890300.

In short, "My Recording" usage shows playback usage data only (occurred during plaback of a recording).  Any usage data during the process of recording a meeting room belongs to a meeting.

I thought you meant that the recording didn't make it to the WebDAV server or that you had trouble playing it back.  Is that all working properly for you?

But now my question when i try to playback the session having screen sharing only it showed me blank screen.

but when i look into the debugger it show the

more over data is increasing in dev portal.
every thing is looking good but why screen sharing is not showned to me.

Hi Vishal,

Well, I am glad to see you are making progress.  I don't have any ideas off-hand about screen sharing, but I would like to know if your other pods play back correctly.  Is the scrensharing the only issue with the playback itself? Did you write your own app, or have you tried using our sample app?

yes i am using adobe sample application. but still i am not able to watch any recording.

i try all samples but not succeed.

i am really interested in Screen sharing, play back.

can you please check and let me know what am i doing wrong in this.

Hi Vishal,

I think you need to take a step back and go at this issue bit by bit.  In another thread, you are saying you are not seeing any recording files on your WebDAV server.  If that is the case, then of course the recording playback will not work.  So, I am a little confused about where you are currently with the recording/playback process.

Here is the process:

1/ create/open a room

2/ start recording the room session

3/ stop recording the room session (this should make LCCS service publish a recording zip file to your WebDAV repository)

4/ locate the recording zip file on your WebDAV server

5/ create/open a playback app (this should make LCCS service retrieve the recording zip file from your WebDAV repository)

6/ playback is showing recording session

You need to identify the first step that breaks in this chain and go from there.
