Maintaing the position of a table on a form as it flows to subsequent pages.

I have a table that flows over to subsequent pages.  I need to ensure the table retains its position on right hand side of the form when it flows to the next page and allow for a different text field on the left side of the page that parallels the table to also flow to subsequent pages.  I tries putting both the table and the text field into a subform, but when the table flows over to the subsequent page and the text field doesn't need to flow to the subsequent page, the table will jump to the left side of the page.  How do I prevent this from happening?

Can you make your text field as a first column of your table? Or you can even add two columns on the left side, one being your text field and second for spacing to separate it from the table columns

I can, however I want my table to be set up to enable the user to enter additional lines as needed while retaining a single text field on the left side of the page (i.e. I don't want additional text lines added to the left side). That text field needs to enable the user to explain the contents of the lines entered in the table. I have a subform around the table and the text field. This then allows the user to add another subform and repeat the process as needed.

I can limit the subform (table and text box) size by not allowing page breaks within the subform, then when the user enters more lines inn the table than will fit on the first page, the complete subform goes to the next page. This will work for most instances since most subforms added will not require more than a full page of data to be entered. I just was hoping to enable the subform contents to page break if needed.
