How to Prevent End Users from Editing Sent PDFs

Hi,

we are developing a system using adobe livecycle ES2 , one process populates data to a pdf document and sends it to an end user to be filled.

we want a way to prevent the end user form opening the sent pdf in any editing tool such as livecycle designer or acrobat.

any ideas??

Hi,

Try using this service(Password Encrypt PDF) in Process Management before sending your PDF to users.

Hi Chalukya,

I tried to use it, but it will required from us to send the password to the user to enable him to open and fill the form, doing this will not prevent him from opening the pdf using livecycle designer! and this is what we do not want to happen.

thanks

You can flatten the PDF before sending it to the User. The user cannot edit the PDF through any of the editing tool including Acrobat.

The major disadvantage is that the user cannot interact with the form fields but only can view the content.

Hi Nith,

actually we need the end user to interact with the pdf, he has to fill it and resubmit it.

thanks
