how do I export/import users/groups from one LC server to another?

I'm trying to export/import users/groups from one LC server to another newly built LC server. but couldn't find much help within LC Adminstrator. can anyone help with this?

The recommended way is to export the User Manager configuration template out (using the AdminUI), import it into your new enviroment (again using the AdminUI - you have to type the password of the LDAP user in since it is not exported) and then initiating an LDAP Synch.

Thanks for your quick response. I'm using LC built-in security from so there's no LDAP configuration involved. Would this be the same case? If so, please provide a few lines of sample how to edit the xml file exported from current LC server.

It only exports the config, not the users.

I confirmed internally that there is no built-in tool to export existing users and groups from one LiveCycle environment (DEV for example) and then import them into another LiveCycle environment (TEST for example).
