Flowing columns of different sizes to new page

Hi all,

I have a quick question regarding columns in Livecycle Designer, I have an scenario where I have two columns that will get filled with data (rows of repeating elements from XML).

The two columns are independent and they are NOT equally high. The left column is shorter than the right one.

So the issue is that I need these two columns to flow to a new page. If the left column (which is shorter) is filled up first it should overflow to the next page and show an empty right column. Vice versa if the right column is filled up it should flow to the next page and the left column should be empty.

I have been fiddling with several content areas and settings for pagination regarding place, after and overflow, but I haven’t cracked the right combination yet – it always seems to be something wrong with the settings I have configured.

Anyone who have some pointers of how to do this?

Sincerely
Kim Christensen

Have a look at this example: http://assure.ly/oxkNn1.

Good luck,

Hi Niall,

I did have a look at it and I can't seem to get it right. Do you understand my requirement for having two unequally long columns and that I need them to be paginated to the next page?

It should look like this if both columns will paginate:

Currently this is done in Jetform, so I guess it must be possible somehow in Livecycle ES also, I just can't get it to do what I need.

I hope you have some pointers on were to look

Sincerely
