cannot change type styles when importing text

Hi there,

I've got a problem with importing text and changing the font styles. Here's what I have:

1. an ongoing livecycle form with lots of text and fileds etc.

2. a revised word doc from the client

the text I need to change appears in grey boxes with white text (this is in livecycle)

the text I copy from word is regular black on white

when I paste it into my form it retails the black, fills it with a white background (only in the new text) with the wrong font.

So I've created a new style in the style catalog window. I select the new text, click on the style I have created, right click and select 'apply style' and... nothing.

I can manually change the font and the font color, but I can't see how to remove the white box around this new text. More importantly, I have a lot of editing to do and if I can't properly change the text I'm going to have to hand type out each bit which can't be right.

Is there an issue with importing text from a word document? Or is there something I'm missing?

Thanks,

Sunil

Using ES4 by the way

sorted this one out by copying all the word doc text into a basic text editor and removing all the formatting. I can then paste this text into LC and hey presto, changing styles works!
