If I do a Preview in the Create or Edit Guide in LiveCycle Designer then I can view the Form Guide and/or PDF form but not on Workspace. Is there anything need to be configured for it to be viewable on Workspace. Please advise.

You have to choose the correct Renderer to view a Guide in workspace. Are you using LiveCycle ES1?

Yes, I am usingn LiveCycle ES 1 with SP3. I try both Render from the Sample and Process Management and got the same error.

I no longer have that version running so I will have to go from memory. Which renderer did you choose? Can you post the error you are getting? Can you take a screen shot of the properties so I can see what you have chosen to render the form?

Hi Paul,
I tried both of these belows and got the same error:
From Worspace: "The requested form produced errors. Contact the system administrator or see the server error log for details."
From Log file:

Here are the print screens for both of the Render Form Guides:

The error indicates that there is something missing from the Guide ....lets create a very simply guide (one field and no custom components) and try that. If it renders we now know to look at the guide and not the orchestration. If that does not work....then I suggest we hardcode everything in the Renderfrom step instead of passing in all parameters through vars. This are not solutions to the problem but steps to isolate the issue so that we can identify where the problem is.
Make sense?

Paul,
You are right, if I create a simple form by trying both of Render Form and it works just fine so I am not sure that it has something with my process or my form. Can you please advise it further.

So it is your form .....Do you have a custom component on your form? If so remove it (for now) and try it again.

Paul,
The form does have custom component, the Process fields which are needed for the process along with two web services that were built in Workbench.

I was referring to the Guide not the XDP form.

Well, other than it does not have custom component but it does have some JavaScripts for some fields. Would it be a problem? The strange thing is if I preview it w/in the Form Guide then it does render form to the temp local director to work as expected.

If we go back to teh original error message it is complaining about an attribute in the MXML. That is why I asked you if you have added any custom components to the Guide. When the Render tries to compile the guide it cannot because of this error. Are you using the same version of Workbench and Designer that came with the version of LC ....did you apply SPs to both environments?

Yes, I am using the same version of the Designer and Workbench which came together in Adobe package and applied
the same service pack 3 to both and the server.

I'm afraid that you will have to take this up with support ... the guide is not compiling and I do not know why. I have not seen that error before.
